Hi there! I am glad you made it to my website. My name is Jeff Pearson, and this is a little about me and why I became a personal trainer and started Impact Fitness.

As you read on the previous page, I have a degree in Health and Fitness and I hold multiple certifications from accredited fitness associations.

The reason I became a personal trainer is probably for the same reasons you are reading this bio. I, too, was unhappy about how I was feeling, looking and acting. I needed a change. I was overweight all of my early childhood as well as in high school; although I did participate in sports. Growing up, I was on various swim, soccer, basketball and baseball teams; and in high school I played varsity football. Even with all of this childhood exercise, I was still very overweight; I hit my peak of 250 pounds and roughly 32% body fat. I know that I never tried hard enough; I ate like crap and in huge quantities. I decided to finally do something about it. Low self-esteem and lack of proper nutrition was plaguing my life, and it was time for a change.

It was at this moment that I devoted my life to learning all that I could about health, fitness, proper nutrition and exercise. I worked out every day, some days twice, but I never missed. I can’t say my routine is something I would recommend now and there was lots of trial and error but my persistence, determination and dedication to myself eventually paid off. I finally shed all of the fat I hated for so long, it actually was a transformation. I had lost almost 80lbs and increased my muscle mass significantly.

During this time I went back to college and earned a Health and Fitness degree. I also became a certified personal trainer among many other titles. I worked in corporate fitness for 10 years managing a fitness center and personal training for Coca-Cola/Minute Maid, ElPaso Energy, Heritage Plaza and with Plus One Health Management. I maintained Impact Fitness and my personal clients that have excelled me to where I am today. I opened my own private training studio in March of 2014.

During my fitness career, I have trained hundreds of clients of all sizes, shapes, ages and motivational levels; and I have conducted thousands of training sessions. My specialties include: weight loss/muscle gain, body toning/shaping, strength, and flexibility, pre-natal and senior training as well as nutritional guidance.

With my fitness background, personal transformation and years of experience, I know I can help you achieve your personal goals so you too can have your own story to tell to anyone who is fortunate enough to listen!

My name is Krystle Lopez Merkord, I stated my health and fitness journey in 2004 when I started a Kinesiology program that would take me for a wild ride to where I am now. Coming from strong Mexican roots, I grew up spending lots of time with my mother and grandmother in the kitchen learning to make traditional Mexican dishes with simple wholesome ingredients, usually grown in my grandmothers garden. As an adult I combined my love for food and flavor, the knowledge I’d gained from my grandmother and my health and wellness education then went on a journey traveling all over the world taking hands on cooking classes with some of the best chefs. I traveled to many remote villages and went to 39 different parts of Mexico to learn cuisine from all parts of Mexico. North and South of India, Indonesia and Costa Rica were also a huge part of my experience. In 2013 I started body building and my fitness and foodie worlds started to become one. I became a Raw Vegan Chef in 2015 and started combining everything I’d learned and started coming up with my own super healthy and wholesome versions of these dishes. My meal prep business sprouted after helping a friend lose 86lbs by teaching him how to cook and eat delicious foods the healthy way. My goal is and always will be to help as many people as possible reach their weight and fitness goals eating absolutely delicious food. All my dishes are gluten free, dairy free (unless requested), soy free and organic when possible. I try to use ingredients that are in season as much as I can and customize flavors and seasoning variations to each person. I measure the food according to each persons specific macronutrient needs.
